Empowering people by bringing their stories to the bright lights of Broadway
Thirteen million people every year attend Broadway shows in New York City. Those same shows branch out nationally and globally to reach an exponentially larger audience.
With a passion for impactful musical theatre story telling , Natasha brings decades of experience in commercial entertainment to support and develop new and relevant narratives.
"The first Broadway musical I saw was MAME starring Angela Lansbury and Bea Arthur. Seeing independent strong women in charge of their own lives impacted my teenage self in ways I couldn't have imagined."
THE PROM is based on real events. When teenage Emma wants to attend her small town high school prom with her girlfriend, the school board cancels it rather than allow same sex couples. State courts force the school to hold an inclusive prom, but when Emma shows up at the gym, no one is there. It is a fake prom just for her. A "private prom" has been set up elsewhere for the rest of the students. Broadway divas trying to revive their lagging careers with good press, descend on the small town to "help" but only make things worse for Emma. In the end, the community comes together with acceptance, the celebrities learn true advocacy and an inclusive prom is celebrated by all.
HALF TIME is the new life affirming musical that tells the true story of ten ordinary senior citizens with big dreams who become the very first NBA senior citizen hip hop dance team! Based on the acclaimed documentary "Gotta Dance", these brave dancers from all walks of life and all over the age of 60, fight ageism and generational bias to prove to themselves and to the world that they are still vital and have dreams to fulfill. The generations gain understanding, learn to appreciate each other and work together. HALF TIME was a huge success at The Paper Mill Playhouse.
